• Darrell Henry

York native Darrell Henry enters his 10th season as the “Voice of the Revolution” in 2016 and his third as General Manager of Sports Radio 1350 WOYK.

With the York Revolution since its inception, Henry had called every pitch in Revs history until being rushed home from a road trip at Somerset in the wee hours of the morning on September 11, 2011 by Revs pitcher Corey Thurman.  They arrived just in time for the birth of Peyton, the daughter and first child of Darrell and his wife, Kristyn.

In addition to Revs baseball, Henry has called York College men’s and women’s basketball games for the past ten seasons, including the 2005 Division III Men’s Final Four.  He has also served as a fill-in broadcaster on the Hershey Bears Radio Network.  Henry earned a first-place Pennsylvania Associated Press Award for Best Play-by-Play for his work on Revs baseball in 2007.

  • Matt Present

Matt Present enters his first season as a broadcaster and media relations assistant for the York Revolution and 1350 WOYK. A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Matt graduated from the University of Maryland last May and had been working as a production assistant at Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic before joining the Revs.

While at Maryland Matt called ten different sports, traveling to Chapel Hill, NC, Morgantown, WV, Louisville, KY, and Omaha, NE to broadcast games. His play-by-play experience is highlighted by his work at the Maryland Baseball Network, which he helped found in 2015. The network now broadcasts every Maryland baseball game of the season and provides substantial online and social media coverage of the team.

Matt also broadcast summer league baseball for three seasons, calling games for the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts of the Cal Ripken League, and also serving on the team’s board of directors. The “T-bolts” as they’re know were the summer league home to major leaguers Brett Cecil and Jonathan Papelbon.

When he’s not in the broadcast booth you can often find Matt on a golf course, either as a player or as a caddie. More recently Matt has taken a liking to travel, going on a cruise to the Bahamas last spring, attending the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa this fall, and taking a trip to Israel this winter.

Matt is the son of Sue and Rick, has a younger sister Cora, who attends the University of Pittsburgh. Broadcasters who he admires most include Kevin Harlan, Mike Tirico, and Mike “Doc” Emrick. A lifelong fan of all sports, Matt roots for the Orioles, Redskins, Capitals, and of course the Terps! You can follow Matt on Twitter @matt_present.
